Flexibore® is a flexible riser designed and manufactured to replace the old-fashioned and cumbersome rigid pipe systems. The flexible layflat hose is fabricated by integrating thermoplastic polyurethane into a woven textile fabric of high-tenacity polyester. This unique process gives the hose flexibility for ease in both installation and retrieval, as well as strength for sustaining the weight of a submersible pump.
Iron bacteria and other mineral build-ups in rigid-pipe systems cause increased power consumption and expensive pumping costs. The swelling nature of Flexibore® does not allow the internal build-up of minerals, thereby preserving efficient flow rates. With its long life and unique characteristics, running costs are reduced.

How is Flexibore Installed
Flexibore®, the flexible riser, can be installed in one of three ways: crane assisted, vehicle assisted or hand-assisted. The installation method will depend on the bore depth, access space and pump weight. Flexibore® is first attached to the pump with patented couplings, then the power cable is secured along its length before it’s lowered into the bore using a rolling wheel or crane. This method ensures simple installation and retrieval. The Flexibore® hose has continuous length, making it easy to handle.
Potable Water Approved
Another major benefit of using Flexibore bore hose is that the hose is potable water approved. Extensive tests have been carried out by the Australian Water Quality Centre and have certified AS4020 approval.
BURST PRESSURE AND TENSILE TESTING
Each Flexibore hose manufactured by Crusader Hose has undergone specific burst pressure testing to ensure optimum efficiency is achieved for bore water retrieval. Every Flexibore bore hose is hydrostatically tested in our Melbourne factory as part of our stringent quality process.
Flexibore bore hose has been independently tested by a NATA accredited laboratory for tensile tests to confirm the strength and give customers confidence that their pump will be hanging on tightly.
